Guildford Museum
On Tuesday Year 3 went back in time to 1893 and became Victorian school children during our visit to the ancient schoolroom in Guildford. We spent the day with Miss Smith and Miss Emily and experienced a day in the life of a Victorian school child. We followed their rules and timetable and was able to participate in activities such as; observing and drawing a tawny owl, writing with ink pensĀ and playing with Victorian toys like cup and ball, yo-yos and Jacob’s ladders. The girls also got to try some knitting while, the boys drew designs of a spinner. We all had a fantastic day!
