Crofton Roman Villa
Year 4 had a very interesting trip to Crofton Villa in Orpington. We learnt how the archeologists discovered the remains of the Roman villa before Bromley council were going to build a car park. We created our own Roman mosaics, learnt about the structure of the Roman army and the Romans were the first to invent under floor heating! Some of the children dressed up in Roman clothes and we also discovered that they used crushed snails as face moisturiser. A great place to visit and fascinating to see something that was over 2000 years old.
