SCHOOL CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

As you will be aware the country is currently working to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus and therefore schools across the country have closed. In order for this to be successful, we MUST adhere to the self-isolation and social distancing guidelines from the government.

In order to further limit the spread of COVID-19, the advice is that if children can stay safely at home, they should. The fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society. This is the reason why only those children who absolutely NEED to attend should.

Government guidance states that “many parents working in these critical sectors may be able to ensure their child is kept at home. Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be.”
