As you will be aware the country is currently working to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus and therefore schools across the country have closed. In order for this to be successful, we MUST adhere to the self-isolation and social distancing guidelines from the government.
In order to further limit the spread of COVID-19, the advice is that if children can stay safely at home, they should. The fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society. This is the reason why only those children who absolutely NEED to attend should.
Government guidance states that “many parents working in these critical sectors may be able to ensure their child is kept at home. Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be.”
As children spend more time at home, please ensure you have taken the time to look at our online safety information here to keep your child safe.
Weekly home learning is being emailed out to parents and carers on a Friday. Please note, there will be no home learning set for during the Easter Holidays. If you do not have access to the internet or a tablet, computer or laptop – please notify the school office (email@example.com)
If you have any questions please contact the school office (firstname.lastname@example.org) or your class teacher via google classroom.
The links above are for you to access to support your children working from home. This is a challenging time for all families and we fully appreciate that as well as continuing school based learning, it is also just as important to spend time as a family.
